1) Do not pay for any music related upgrade.
Before you pay for a service, look into finding new areas to market. Check your markets. Why pay when you can get the same service somewhere else for free.
2) Putting your music on a main page wont help you.
The positive fact and benefits of your music being placed on the main page of other music sites will help you for the short-term but not the long-term cause you will be re-placed unless you keep paying for that service.
3) Add a blog
Marketing depends on your resources, so adding a blog or creating a free blog can improve your exposure easily.
4) Network
Myspace and Facebook are important current medias to use. There are more, though, think out of the box.
5) Smile!
Music is a serious business and fun at the same time. Know the difference.!
